here’s a new clothing line that is not only stylish but also socially conscious.  nau is run by a small group of people who are “committed to the power of business as a force of change.”  the goal is to “demonstrate the highest levels of citizenship in everything we do.”  now that’s something i’ll dress to!

make sure to check out their *thought kitchen* and *the collective* – it’s something we can all benefit from!

indian jewelry is spectacular.  no sari is complete without an adjoining necklace.  and a plain outfit can be easily dressed up with some bangles or earrings. just delightful. enjoy!

okay, i just left a comment on another site about this designer, so i figured i should write something about him on here too.  i have to say, the men in my family know how to dress well – and so i have learned to appreciate men’s wear over the years.  ozwald boateng is one of those designers who just knows how to dress a man (just like oscar de la renta knows how to dress a woman).  it’s… just… gorgeous.

I really enjoy reading Marie Claire — it’s one of the only magazines (directed at young women) that i find to be socially conscious and who bring global topics to its readers (which i think is so important).  In its December version, the fashion spread called Mecca Stars was absolutely breathtaking.  Maybe it was because all the models were clad in their traditional dress.  Take a look…
